Hipersuper: Textura Wines strengthens its technical team and consolidates the coordination of oenology and viticulture

Textura Wines, a wine project in the Dão region founded by Marcelo Villela de Araújo and Patrícia Berardi, strengthens its technical team, consolidating the coordination of the areas of oenology and viticulture.

With around 30 hectares of organically farmed vineyards located between Vila Nova de Tazem and Penalva do Castelo, the company is committed to integrated viticulture and winemaking management, incorporating complementary technical profiles that ensure consistency in the project.

The new technical team includes Marcelo Villela de Araújo, owner and winemaker, who founded the company in 2018, and Luís Seabra, consultant winemaker who has been involved in the project since its inception. Hugo Melo, an organic viticulture consultant from Bairrada who has worked with producers such as Luís Pato, Quinta dos Murças, Quinta do Ameal, and Vadio, also joins the team. The most recent addition is João Alves, who has over a decade of experience in the Douro region, working for companies such as Quinta da Gaivosa, Quinta do Vale Meão, Quinta do Tedo, and Menin Wine Company, and has also worked at Chateau Gruaud Larose in Bordeaux.

“This consolidation of the team reflects the importance we place on integrating viticulture with oenology. We believe that this alignment will allow us to continue to express the unique character of Dão, through wines of identity and authenticity, in a continuous process of quality improvement,” says Marcelo Villela de Araújo.
